Despite the political turmoil that has swept the region in recent months, the Middle East remains - along with Asia - Jobs greatest growth market. Leading the charge are the Gulf's big three airlines - Emirates, Etihad and Qatar Airways - all with huge expansion warchests and based in stable states.

Rapidly emerging low-cost carriers such as Air Arabia and Flydubai are following hard on their heels. Qatar and the UAE are also expanding their aviation infrastructure, particularly airports, but also the maintenance, training  and other service industries.

All over the region, the business elite are rediscovering their taste for private aviation and the jet charter sector is thriving again. Although the long- term priority remains creating high-skill careers for their own citizens, Middle East employers will continue to need thousands of expatriate professionals to meet their growth aims.
