Description

Our client is a leading global company within the construction and maintenance of air, shipping, roads and railway infrastructures. They have an exceptional reputation globally and work on urban development and growth projects. We are looking for an experienced and dynamic Senior professional with relevant experience for the position of Contract Manager based in Mauritius. OVERVIEW OF ROLE • Preparing contentious files and participating in legal expertise • Running contractual management of road infrastructure projects • Researching claims subjects • Maintaining claims files KEY RESPONSIBILITIES • Analyzing technical and commercial proposal and assuring consistency of contractual clauses • Participating in analyzing and negotiation of contractual clauses • Identifying contractual risks and assuring control of deadlines regarding general specifications given by the costumer (ie: existing administrative and legal clauses, costs and respect of standards and procedures) • Advising work team project in the choice and good process of work • Investigating project evolution (area changes, contentious, penalties…) and their impact on service quality or delivered products • Appraising opportunities in order to improve contract achievement: financial running of contracts et realization of commercial proposals to improve financial profitability • Providing contractual documents writing, insuring smoothness and efficiency of communication with work teams ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS • At least 10 years experience in a similar position or experience in Project Management • Strong knowledge of FIDIC contracts essential (International Federation of Consulting Engineers) • Solid understanding of legal aspects related to the company fields • Experience in Construction/ Roads preferred • Should have worked on projects in excess of $25 – 40million USD • Should have worked on more than 1 contract/ projects at once • Master Degree preferred in Engineering or Business School • Fluency in English • (French speakers very welcome) • Open to all nationalities KEY SKILLS • Strong written and oral communication skills • Excellent editorial abilities • Good negotiation and contractual writings skills (i.e. settlement of contentious and administrative litigation) • Good acquaintance of general principles of project management (planning, charge distribution, etc…) BENEFITS • Will depend on experience levels and interview performance • Relocation package Please send your CV in English, clearly outlining your FIDIC experience, to tilly@- FIRST RESORT GLOBAL RECRUITMENT Leaders in Executive Level Recruitment Worldwide -
